About me

Christina Arfwedson Potts

BSc (Hons), mBANT, DipION, regCNHC, mUKIHCA

As a fully qualified and certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and Health Coach, I am focussed on supporting you in achieving your best possible health through dedicated, research-based care.

I am passionate about seeing my clients flourish - becoming the best version of themselves. I am particularly focussed on giving them the knowledge and confidence to feel in control of their health. I see clients of all ages and find it especially rewarding to support the children and families I work with. Building resilience in children and giving them the best start in life is something dear to my heart and this is especially so for those with neurodevelopmental conditions. My personal experience of ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) has lead to specialised training in nutrition to provide the best support to busy parents who want to nurture their children.

Preventative health is at the centre of what I do. Having cared for relatives with Alzheimer’s and dementia, I am deeply committed to supporting brain health and healthy ageing. We need to be able to live life to the fullest until the very end, both diet and lifestyle play a critical role in this.

Training

I received my postgraduate nutritional therapy qualifications from the Institute for Optimum Nutrition, where I trained for four years and was awarded the Shekinah Award for Outstanding Research Critique and the award for Outstanding Overall Performance. I completed my Health Coaching training at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.

I am a member of the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT), a body that advocates for evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle practices, and I am registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) as well as the UK & International Health Coaching Association (UKIHCA), both of which uphold professional standards in the field.

To stay at the forefront of scientific innovations and advancements in nutritional medicine, supplements, and testing, I regularly attend seminars and training days as part of my continuing professional development.

My Approach

I believe in a 'food first' philosophy and advocate for a healthy and happy relationship with food. When needed, I recommend targeted supplements and nutraceuticals to address specific imbalances, along with personalised lifestyle guidance in areas such as sleep, exercise, and stress management. My goal is to motivate realistic, sustainable changes in your diet and lifestyle, helping you implement an integrative plan that supports your long-term health and well-being.

Client-focussed Care

I believe in building meaningful, supportive partnerships with my clients through empathy, collaboration, and trust. My consultations are thorough, detailed, and conducted in a non-judgmental environment that values kindness and integrity. Your journey to better health will be guided by strategies tailored to your pace and comfort level.

  • “Wow! Christina’s nutritional guidance has been a total game changer for my 7 year old son. He has autism and as a result, is a very fussy eater. Up until I consulted with Christina, I worried constantly about the lack of nutrients in my son’s diet, brain health, gut health etc. Christina’s advice regarding meal strategies and supplements means that as a family we have seen such a positive change in the last few months - my son’s focus is far better both inside and outside of school and he also generally has a lot more energy too.”

  • “Christina has been a mentor for everything life has thrown at me while juggling midlife, working and parenting. Having started out with Potts Health to tackle specific problems such as strengthening immunity and improving sleep, our conversations quickly covered wider ground and each time Christina identified simple and achievable solutions. Importantly, she has been right by my side with positivity and steady wisdom gently persisting to ensure every suitable suggestion was put into practice. As a result, I am fitter and stronger, and my energy levels have never been better. Thank you Christina”

    Rosanna, London

  • “Thank you for my consultation. I found it very informative. Your knowledge and the way you have managed to connect dots to things is invaluable. I’m genuinely looking forward to making some changes - nothing you suggested felt too overwhelming.”

    Tiffany, London

  • “I had a course of three online sessions with Christina. She gave me some very detailed preliminary questionnaires to complete. Having this information before we began our sessions meant that she was already thinking about how best to advise me. I loved the way Christina took a holistic view of my wellbeing, combining dietary advice, recommendations of supplements and wider guidance on my daily routines. I found Christina incredibly insightful and empowering in helping me to improve my day-to-day choices. Thank you very much!”

    Isabella, London

    Sarah, London

  • “We could not recommend Christina more highly. She analysed our son’s challenges and goals through a combination of approachability, professionalism and understanding. A detailed analysis was explained and Christina suggested changes to his diet and lifestyle which were tailored to him. Her approach is both compassionate and highly practical. As a result, our son’s wellbeing has been revolutionised and he is leading the life he wanted to live.”
