About me
Christina Arfwedson Potts
BSc (Hons), mBANT, DipION, regCNHC, mUKIHCA
As a fully qualified and certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and Health Coach, I am focussed on supporting you in achieving your best possible health through dedicated, research-based care.
I am passionate about seeing my clients flourish - becoming the best version of themselves. I am particularly focussed on giving them the knowledge and confidence to feel in control of their health. I see clients of all ages and find it especially rewarding to support the children and families I work with. Building resilience in children and giving them the best start in life is something dear to my heart and this is especially so for those with neurodevelopmental conditions. My personal experience of ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) has lead to specialised training in nutrition to provide the best support to busy parents who want to nurture their children.
Preventative health is at the centre of what I do. Having cared for relatives with Alzheimer’s and dementia, I am deeply committed to supporting brain health and healthy ageing. We need to be able to live life to the fullest until the very end, both diet and lifestyle play a critical role in this.
Training
I received my postgraduate nutritional therapy qualifications from the Institute for Optimum Nutrition, where I trained for four years and was awarded the Shekinah Award for Outstanding Research Critique and the award for Outstanding Overall Performance. I completed my Health Coaching training at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.
I am a member of the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT), a body that advocates for evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle practices, and I am registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) as well as the UK & International Health Coaching Association (UKIHCA), both of which uphold professional standards in the field.
To stay at the forefront of scientific innovations and advancements in nutritional medicine, supplements, and testing, I regularly attend seminars and training days as part of my continuing professional development.
My Approach
I believe in a 'food first' philosophy and advocate for a healthy and happy relationship with food. When needed, I recommend targeted supplements and nutraceuticals to address specific imbalances, along with personalised lifestyle guidance in areas such as sleep, exercise, and stress management. My goal is to motivate realistic, sustainable changes in your diet and lifestyle, helping you implement an integrative plan that supports your long-term health and well-being.
Client-focussed Care
I believe in building meaningful, supportive partnerships with my clients through empathy, collaboration, and trust. My consultations are thorough, detailed, and conducted in a non-judgmental environment that values kindness and integrity. Your journey to better health will be guided by strategies tailored to your pace and comfort level.
